Houston Community College has provided educational opportunities for West Houston since 1979. The college offers quality academic transfer courses for students pursuing a baccalaureate degree; lifelong learning classes; dual credit classes for high school students; a collaborative Center for Entrepreneurship; engaging STEM programs through the West Houston Center for Science and Engineering; and award-winning workforce programs.

HCC offers a full range of services during the day, evening and weekends, as well as distance education. The community is invited to enjoy many cultural activities and a variety of fine arts productions and events at the Spring Branch Campus Performing Arts Center.
